Great video. You speak well and slowly enough to follow along. You dont have ridiculous intro clips on your vidoes, and you keep it under 10 minutes. Bravo.

GeoZeo Hero Gamer Win or Die

Hi, thank you for the content. Is the main.py a file under the Hello World project file? How do you delete them? Confused. Mark

hi i installed the pycharm and it is not showing the interpretor part like others did. can you tell me what i did wrong while installing it

Shawn Kent

Hey! I downloaded the Python and Pycharm through your perfect explanation. Now I need some help in comparing two large files. Each file has 600k data points. I was able to use this combo software and pick out the differences. How can I clear all the similar lines but keep the different ones? Thanks! :)

Kelvin

out of gazillion you tubers, you the only one that helped me out, thanks man

16GBofDDR4RAM

To all the comment complaining, I followed this guide downloading a newer version of python and a newer version of pycharm and still got through it fine. I'm not a genius, but the issue isn't the guide. It's probably you.

Eduardoo Crespo

for me it worked after I closed and opened PyCharm

Faysal Humble

Nice explain

gannebraemorr

This tutorial isn't accurate for a new installation. You already had Hello World, and explained the Yes prompt as importing the directory when it was actually warning you that the directory wasn't empty. Since it already existed it went ahead and opened your main.py. Mine doesn't have a main.py, just a blank screen. I opened your video to see how to get to that point, but you failed me by already having it from a previous installation. So, not a "beginner tutorial". :(

If you can't learn from this awesome series, please choose another major. Awesome!!!

Lindsey Schiller

Hi, having trouble with PyCharm. How can you run only a file within a project and not the whole project (which runs all the files)? Where should we be creating new code for these challenges - in new projects or in a new file within a project?

getcrackkey

Sheehan Hewitt

There is a lot of questions in this comment section with no answers, Kevin, I would think that as the poster for this video, you would be the most helpful person, no!?

My interpreter was not automated as you explained, I think I fixed it by myself, but by 'print("Hello World!!!") won't run, as the option is greyed out.

PLEASE HELP!!!

ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΟΣ ΚΑΡΙΩΤΗΣ

to pc moy se katouraei blaka

Alex Joslin

The very first time I did the print world, the run button on the upper right-hand corner was grayed out. So I thought it was a linking error but then I clicked on the run tab at the top and ran it that way. It printed hello world. and now the run button is no longer grayed out.

BazingaDude 24

I'm having issues with the interpretor and stuff. It says:

can't find '__main__' module in 'C:/Users/AriDylan/PycharmProjects/GhostGame'

Process finished with exit code 1.

Robert McOrmond

Great job! Short & sweet --> to the point! Thanks! :-)

Benjamin Åreskjold

thank you man, and try not to manapulate me to close the window in the next tutorial

Carlos Ortiz

Thank you for these tutorials

Arturo Paz

Kevin, So I installed the Community PyCharm.

Set up PyCharm according to your guide.

Followed the tutorials up to 8 before the dictionaries portion.

I ran the calculator and it worked fine.

Ran the second part of the lesson to call the calculator module and run random math.

I think something in PyCharm broke because the program never reaches past the add(num1, num2) regardless

of which operator '+', '-', '*', '/' it just adds.

Has anyone else had the PyChart break. I uninstalled it and re-installed it and it breaks as soon as I run

the calculator module program.

Jeremy smith

Thanks! a lot, this really helped me. I'm totally new and really appreciate you taking the time to go through the basics!
